|
The present work is a study about two cases of Clean
Development Mechanism that were developed in Rio de
Janeiro. After the Kyoto Protocol some mechanisms were
created to help Annex I parties achieve their targets. This
study shows the implementation process of these projects
and how Brazil and more specifically Rio de Janeiro State
are dealing with the carbon market. After investigating the
process of CDM implementation, it is possible to assume
that it is a hard task to have it done, but the results
after its implementation are well seen by the community and
move toward the sustainable development.
