Resumo:
The Music Business in Brazil is nowadays in a peculiar moment, needing to know better its market. This research study has, as a target, the analysis of young people from classes C and D, their music personal choices and their behavior and preferences as consumers of music products. In this study we start analyzing the bibliography, market studies, related works about the music business in Brazil and the characteristics of such young adults, focusing the way they consume and enjoy music. To cover some additional aspects a field survey were performed in Rio de Janeiro - RJ. It calls attention in this survey the strength of pirate products in Brazilian market, specially the illegal downloading.
