Resumo:
Firms have been considering strategic alliances as an altenative to gain competitive advantage because they alow organizations to obtain resources, capacities and competences through a sinergy among the parts involved. Strategic alliances occur either when firms do not want or are not able to do something on their own. This study presents a less broken up and more simple approach to the theme strategic alliances, pointing out their origin and the natural steps to their formation, whatever are their motivations, shapes and evolution.
