In recent years, a growing use of the expression sustainable
development has been noticed. Although it is a concept that
has been
shaping itself according to the needs and expectations of
the business
segment, the society and the government, most people are
not aware of
its real meanig and of its importance to the growth of
enterprises and
morover to the social/economical development of a country.
This paper aims at contributing for the knowledge about
enterprise
sustainability by means of two case studies about two
successful
companies that operate in the brazilian market, which have
developed
projects aiming at the implementation of sustainable
development in the
country.
