Resumo:
The purpose of this study is to understand the attitude of PUC-Rio´s students and teachers in the Humanities area concerning Art and Iconographic books. To gather the basic data, a questionnaire was given to 142 people. The results showed that there is a great opportunity for art publishing houses to narrow the relationship with the final costumer, improving their direct marketing. It was also confirmed that financial issues (such as price and lack of money) are the main reason that explain why the participants in this research don´t buy as many books as they would desire.
