Resumo:
This work deals with the leisure restrictions for low income consumers in the state of Rio de Janeiro. These consumers, usually classified as class D and E, have household incomes of less then three minimum salary per month. By means of interviews and focus groups with those responsible for purchasing entertainment the study was able to formulate pertinent propositions regarding leisure behaviors of low income consumers. These behaviors are analyzed through three hierarchical barriers derives from a model popular model of leisure restrictions.
