Resumo:
The objective of this paper is to show the advantages and costs for the use of an own fleet for distribution of a food industry, as well as the negative points for this choice. It was made based on studies of companies and interviews to professionals staff of them in the use of own transport fleet or a mix of partial own fleet and partial outsourced fleet so that the models could be compared and discussed. So, it was not developed to a company can do its choice starting from it, but as an aid to decision making through inherent factors the own load to transport, if there is or there is not return load to be transported and it presents some conclusions on the subject.
