This report will show, through the financial analysis of
Shell Brazil s and other companies Social Balance Sheets,
the narrow relationship between the country s
history and current situation and Shell s social
performance. Its main objective is to reveal that, in
spite of the importance of the theme Social
Responsibility for private companies, organizations that
had admitted their commitment with the society are now
facing a large amount of difficulties and huge challenges,
mainly imposed by the nation s history and current
situation, which is surrounded by social exclusion.
