Resumo:
The natural gas transportation is done using complex pipelines networks and compressor stations. The discharge pressures of these compressor stations are set by the pipeline operator and are normally based on experience end experimentation, and are therefore not optimal. This work is about the development of a software using MATLAB language, with two purposes: simulate the flow of gas in a pipeline under steady state conditions and optimize the discharge pressures of compressor stations in the pipeline, reducing the total power required by them.
