Resumo:
This research provides information related to narrative and audio, in the context of the audiovisual modality, with the aim of deepening the study of the role and qualities of sound in the interpretation of stories and the effectiveness of messages. Through tacit learning and records of professional activity, in addition to bibliographical research, I seek to understand audio engineering, music production and interactive audio, used mainly in games. The study is based on the principle that by increasing the designer s repertoire with this knowledge, related to sound elements associated with visual language in movement, considering different media that can serve as support, we contribute to the formation of a better prepared and versatile professional to the diversity of projects presented. A characteristic of this research is the emphasis on the games industry, as it is a source of learning and understanding concepts, such as art direction, narrative and music, in an integrated way. Since digital games contribute information from an entertainment perspective, based on the possibility of control - or lack of control - over action and events, the study proposal encompasses interaction with various media, not just games, in relation to knowledge raised that address the evolution of audio as an industry, specific cases and perspectives of professionals who work in areas related to audio creation, such as mixing, musical composition and sound effects.
