Resumo:
In this thesis, we analyze the care provided to children and adolescents in situations of sexual violence, focusing on the intersubjective dimension, in light of contributions from psychoanalysis and public health. For a deeper analytical approach, the research was organized into three studies. The first study investigates the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the care offered to this population, through a narrative literature review conducted between July and August 2023. The second study reflects on sexual violence and pregnancy in childhood and adolescence, based on the analysis of two cases that received wide coverage in the national press. In both cases, the girls faced difficulties in accessing legal abortion services, even after the pregnancy resulting from sexual violence was confirmed. The analysis is conducted from two perspectives: that of public health and that of psychoanalysis, with emphasis on the concepts of trauma and disavowal, as proposed by Sándor Ferenczi. The third study examines the affects and psychic defenses mobilized during the listening of stories of sexual violence against children and adolescents, from the perspective of health professionals. Using a clinical-qualitative methodology, we interviewed 14 professionals from the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), working across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of care. Recognizing the subjective needs of these professionals is essential so they can deal with their own often-silenced emotional pain and affect. Finally, we emphasize the ethical dimension of recognition and the traumatic effects that arise from institutional disavowal, highlighting the urgent need for public policies that prioritize comprehensive and humanized care in all its dimensions.
