Resumo:
This research arose in the unsettling tension of dialoguing and producing meanings. Thus, he threw himself into a field, at least at first, alien to language in what he understood to be an opportunity to study multimodes. Understanding them as sense relationships for the construction of meaning; in the consideration of its ideological properties; by envisioning the need to articulate what is inarticulate. Then he formulated the objective: To propose reflection on design as a process that articulates multimodality in the codes of reality and builds meaning in the medical teaching institution that served as its field. This is relevant to propose new views on material productions that produce meaning, promoting reflection in the field of Design and Medicine. It used a methodology based on Bakhtin (1997[1979]; 2006[1929-1930]; Brait, 2005) and proposed dialogues between authors and concepts, highlighting Pasolini, Flusser and Bakhtin. Developed a spiral analysis methodology, which considers the statement and the enunciative context. He concluded that the codes of reality articulate, in synesthesia and translation, the modes and objectives of medical classes and that medical students produce plural designs, responding to the genre, in such a way that the meaning and ideology respond to the thematic content. In this way, the reading of the world depends on the reading of the designs. Every act is responsible and responsive, having consequences, therefore, it is ideological. In this sense, Medicine and Design converge that: reading the world is writing lives.
