Resumo:
Given the realization that the psychoanalytical practice is inexorably influenced by sociocultural issues, it becomes essential to highlight and question the theme of gender so that psychoanalysis does not refrain from seeking more answers to the challenges of contemporary clinical practice. In this study, we conduct a critical reading of authors outside the psychoanalytical field and, subsequently, a review of Lacanian psychoanalytical constructs that can help us achieve our objectives. Therefore, we analyze the notions of sex and gender considering historical contexts in order to question the idea of a naturalsex through authors such as Foucault, Butler, and Preciado, and we employ Jacques Lacan s concepts of language, the Mirror Stage, semblance, and the formulas of sexuation to deepen our understanding of the issue of transidentities in psychoanalysis. In this way, we reflect on the polis, bringing insights into how the psychoanalytical field can progress toward a fruitful dialogue that paves the way for psychoanalytical practice to better understand current subjectivities and their diverse manifestations in the field of gender.
