Resumo:
The present research aims to understand violence perpetrated by intimate partners (IPV) against Venezuelan women refugees in Brazil. Based on the researcher s experience with this population in the year 2023 and using a recent narrative bibliographic review, it is possible to understand the different categories that overlap, contributing to the greater vulnerability of this population to IPV and the various barriers that hinder these women s access to policies of protection. Corroborating the discussion, a survey was carried out using data made publicly available by the Women s Service Center (Ligue 180), referring to the year 2023, warning of the risk of femicide in the Venezuelan population in Brazilian territory. It is urgently recommended that policies be created for these women that understand intersectionality to ensure that the multiple dimensions of vulnerability are addressed in an integrated manner, in addition to the importance of training professionals who work directly with the migrant population, in order to improve this population s access to their rights and to identify possible cases of IPV.
