Resumo: | |||||||||||||
This dissertation addresses the issue of oversharenting, a term that describes the practice
of parents who excessively expose their children s lives on social media. With technological
advancement, the Internet has become a space where images and personal information are
shared without limits, especially about children and adolescents, raising concerns about privacy
violations and possible negative consequences in the future. The dissertation highlights the lack
of specific regulations aimed at protecting the rights of these children and adolescents and
proposes a reflection on the limits between parents freedom to share and their children s right
to image. Furthermore, it suggests the need for more effective public policies and legislation to
deal with oversharing. The study uses a civil-constitutional approach and a bibliographical,
jurisprudential and normative research methodology to analyze the topic in three chapters: right
to image in the digital world, practice of oversharenting and protection of the interests of
children and adolescents, with the possibility of removing content. The objective is to contribute
to an in-depth debate and greater awareness of the importance of protecting the image and
dignity of minors in the digital environment.
