Resumo:
This dissertation aims to identify the challenges presented to the work of social workers in Brazil, based on the advancement of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a result of the transformations of capitalism in the world in the period 2020-2024, a historical cut privileged of the Covid-19 pandemic. The choice of this period is not casual, it is the pandemic and postpandemic period of Covid-19, when researchers were able to analyze part of the phenomena that occurred at that time and publish them. We consider that the corporate project, intensified by the new digital era, was already taking shape and occupying space worldwide, being improved in the first decades of the 21st century, favored by the neoliberal discourse, thus aggravating the precariousness of working conditions. This scenario brought many challenges to the work of social workers who had to adapt to a new normal that gave them new work tools, leading to transformations that translate into new occupations, ways of working and producing, reconfiguring the universe of work. In this sense, it can be said that the contemporary capitalist project is an intensification of Toyotism which led to intensification and transformations in the Social Service work process, brought challenges in adapting to ICTs for training in Social Work and favored the datafication of social policies, bringing harm to both social workers and their users.
