Resumo:
The purpose of this research is to examine the works of diverse brazilian artists that have strong bonds with Japanese Pop Culture, then examine those as a means to bring new possibilities for the design field. This will be done in three major steps: First we’ll analyze design under the optics of Yuk Hui s cosmothecnics, revealing its relations to a promethean tragic destiny. Secondly, we will do an analysis of the hybridizing, anthropophagic and hipercultural Brazilian context, focusing on its relation to Japanese Culture and Pop Culture. Interviewing artists that have their production based on such relation. Finally, through design s perspective, ponder about possibilities for design to escape its tragic destiny.
