Resumo:
The dissertation aims to study the audiovisual reinterpretations of the writer Rubem Fonseca for television media, analyzing the dialogical relationships between the original works and their versions for the screen. The corpus is mainly composed of the short story Lúcia McCartney (1969) and its adaptations for TV: a program Caso Especial, on TV Globo (1994), adapted by Geraldo Carneiro and directed by Roberto Talma, starring actress Fernanda Torres, and a miniseries on the GNT channel (2016) with eight episodes, written and directed by José Henrique Fonseca, starring actress Antônia de Morais. The research also addresses the HBO series Mandrake, in its three seasons (2005, 2007 and 2012), also directed by José Henrique Fonseca. It is, therefore, about investigating the transposition of the author s brands to the various television viewing platforms in their respective historical moments. Having as main theoretical references works by Pierre Bourdieu, Arlindo Machado, Vera Follain de Figueiredo and Friedrich Nietzsche, the aim is to observe the strategies used in the transposition of language from literature to television audiovisual, prioritizing the investigation of possible remodeling of brands in the author s work, especially non-moralizing traits and the relativization of values, motivated both by the nature of staged language, as well as the impositions linked to the television audiovisual industry, and its economic, moral and aesthetic factors.
