Resumo:
This dissertation aims to understand some aspects of the representation of middle-aged in serialized fiction, using the series Mare of Easttown from the HBO Max platform and Tiny little things from Star Plus as examples. Imaginaries are constructed in the production, circulation and appropriation of symbols. Hence the relevance of understanding the representation of middle-aged through symbols and characters disseminated in these series. With the women as the narrative s structuring focus, the series constitutes a privileged indicator of a moment of social debate on gender and aging issues, materialized through discourses that articulate the production of meanings aligned with female empowerment and respect for generational and gender plurality.
