Resumo:
This research aims to present a method for analyzing projects carried out in favelas, related to the effects of multisensory communication actions linked to what is called communicational sustainability. Analytical categories used include communicational sustainability, colonialism, and subaltern knowledge concepts. The intersection of research, action, and a Design approach, focusing on the materialization of three projects generated in Rio de Janeiro communities, comprises this work. Two of these projects share the challenges and solutions inherent to this field of investigation, considering the efforts made to mitigate the pandemic s impact in these territories. The third project concerns the activities of workers involved in favela culture. The results of data analysis, based on triangulation of methods, including literature review, field research, and a series of interviews, point to the impact of communication actions and their symbolic and cultural effects in these communities.
