Resumo:
Environmental Education is consolidated through the processes by which the individual and the community build social values, knowledge, skills, attitudes and competences aimed at conserving the environment, a good for common use by the people, essential to a healthy quality of life and its sustainability. And it must be approached in an interdisciplinary way so that students understand the relationship between man and the environment and develop sustainable attitudes. Thus, the need arises to create pedagogical practices focused on sustainability, such as focusing on a circular economy that, like Environmental Education, is guided by the desire for sustainable growth. The circular economy is based on the principles of eliminating waste and pollution, keeping products and recyclable and renewable materials in use and regenerating natural systems, seeking to meet the current needs of human beings, without compromising the future of the next generations. In this sense, a pedagogical booklet on Environmental Education was developed with a focus on circular economy, bringing practical examples and instructions on how to approach this topic in the classroom, in different subjects ranging from early childhood education, to elementary and high school. The booklet s main objective was to raise awareness among teachers about the importance of environmental education and encourage them to use practical examples of circular economy in class, with a view to mitigating the degradation of nature as well as its imminent depletion.
