The research explores the effects of the emergence of a discourse that positions Israel as a model for Brazil in the fields of defense and public security. To this end, it inscribes this discourse in a field of narrative disputes and explores the conditions of possibility for Israel to be taken as an example in the field of public security and defense. Then, it discusses the effects of this privileged position with attention to the circulation in Brazil and in the world of Israeli security equipment and weapons. By pursuing the historical trace of some of these apparatuses, the dissertation seeks to open up the differences of alterity and racial underlying the security problem for which these solutions are invested both in Brazil and in Israel. In doing so, the work aims to analyze the mutual resonance of their public order problems and the corollaries of the best practices narrative.
