Resumo:
The objective of this research was to explore how traditional indigenous knowledge, in particular, their ancestry and relationship with the environment, can be integrated into Environmental Education programs for the training of Brazilian elementary school teachers. through the creation of an Illustrative Guide called GUIDED GUIDE TO ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION WITH INDIGENOUS KNOWLEDGE, as an educational product of the professional master s degree. Therefore, this study carried out a bibliographic survey on the theme Environmental Education, Indigenous School Education and the training of teachers to teach indigenous education with an environmental bias, using bibliographic research and document analysis as a methodology. The main research proposal was the construction of this Guide as support material for the teacher, with the purpose of exploring the socio-environmental insertion in teaching, in order to assume a more critical, dynamic and integrated tone between scientific and traditional indigenous knowledge allied to Education. Environmental. Therefore, the aim of the work was to contribute to Brazilian production and research in the field of environmental education and indigenous environmental insertion that deserve visibility.
