The exponential increase in the elderly population represents, in recent decades, both an expressive advance and one of the great challenges in the execution and implementation of rights and social policies in a neoliberal capitalist society. Considering this context, the present research aimed to study, in a qualitative way through documentary analysis, the forms of intrafamily violence practiced against the elderly and presented to the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (CREAS) Maria Lina de Castro Lima, during the period from 2015 to 2020. The production of data was constituted from medical records of elderly victims of violence and official registration instruments adopted by the Brazilian social assistance policy, called Monthly Assistance Report (RMA) and Paefi Worksheet (Protection and Specialized Assistance to Families and Individuals). Data analysis made it possible to know the most incident forms of violence committed against elderly people assisted in the aforementioned CREAS, as well as the main authors and family contexts, results that corroborate the provisions of the specialized literature.
