Resumo:
The present organizational environment requires from the business leaders constant analyses and adaptation regarding the strategy of action of their companies and the adaptation of their logistics processes. As a consequence, it is necessary to adequate performance measures to the new reality, based on a system of measurement. In this context, the performance measurement systems - PMS development is a key factor in the support to modern organizational vision, to adequately accompany the operations, and enable to take correct decisions on time. Considering such context, this thesis has the objective of proposing a development model of performance measurement system applied to logistic process. This research uses the pertinent literature by means of a systematic study of the published material. A literature survey on the concepts and logistics activities, and the aspects related to the management are presented with emphasis on the performance measurement and to the more important approaches for the logistic PMS found in the literature. Furthermore, the importance of knowing the performance of an activity, as well as its relation with its measure is contextualized. In this context, performance measures are presented as part of a system and related to the SMDL processes. From this point on an analysis about the traditional systems is carried out, showing its evolution and its incoherencies. Finally, on the basis of the literature review a performance measurement system development model is proposed. So, the thesis emphasizes the contributions identified, the difficulties found and some suggestions for future researches. As a main proposal for future research, a practical application of the model of development of PMS is suggested.
