This research aims to study online education in graduate courses that include
project activities in planned and emergency situations, addressing them in the contexts of Argentina and Brazil. The objective is to explore pedagogical proposals for
communication and exchange processes of visual materials in online training disciplines that include projects; to make a reflection on the subject and then propose
specific pedagogical guidelines based on the observed situations. The research
adopts a qualitative, inductive and descriptive approach, and includes literature
and documentary reviews, action research, participant observation and semi-structured interviews. In this study, the education-technology binomial is investigated
based on the vision of technology as culture and not as a tool. The evolution of
distance / online education in Argentina and Brazil, its legislation and current situation is analyzed considering the quality parameters and the existing technological
and human resources. The research also includes an overview of the situation of
remote higher education during the COVID-19 pandemic, by observing online
courses in planned and emergency situations in Argentina (Universidad Nacional
de La Plata-UNLP) and Brazil (Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro
- PUC-Rio). In these contexts, the interviews with students and teachers, as well
as the observation made, allow the elaboration of a proposal for specific pedagogical guidelines that could be suitable for online education in both planned and emergency situations.
