Resumo:
For a long time games have been studied by theorists, in order to understand how this practice moves in the individual s imagination, in social relationships, in consumption habits, in the settings of a culture, values. beliefs, modes of political action. Since mediums converged inside the Internet, in XX and XXI century, and the information society penetrated cyberspace, it is observed that many organizations reaches multimillionaires profits with electronic games as graphics are improved, conversation and interaction mechanisms are amplified, ludic and complex narratives are presented with the premise of immersion. The players, therefore, spend hours, connected to computers and consoles, living fictional and plots, going through quests and journeys, making friends and engaging in universes and characters fabricated by modern technologies that have the ambition to simulate the reality. Therefore, the problem of the study lies in the boundaries between the real and the simulation and the places and the virtual, which is more blurred, considering the investments of an industry that designs products that emulate the feeling of being in a world or with characters and plots that sound believable. Reflect, also, on case studies, about how successful market titles have been constructed and promoted to attract and acquire individuals for frequent gameplay. By applying a questionnaire, interviews and observations, understand how fans can connect to maps, places and avatars online, as if it were a new and better reality. The bibliographic review went through works of authors such as Marshall McLuhan, Manuel Castells, Pierre Levy, Jane McGonigal, Johan Huizinga, Jean Baudrillard, among others.
