Resumo:
A Distribution Center (DC), unlike a traditional warehouse, is a temporary storage place, strategically located, whose main purpose is to distribute the material quickly and efficiently, becoming a fundamental link in the supply chain. When it comes to the storage of imported material, this purpose grows in importance when we analyze the high amounts involved in the operations. In the case of the Brazilian Navy, annual imports are around BRL 1.1 billion, generating a cost with the different port terminals of BRL 2.8 million and totaling about 200 containers per year, stored on a single CD , whose location was defined by the proximity of the main Military Organizations. In this context, this research aims to analyze the ideal location for the installation of the DC for imported materials from the Brazilian Navy from a scope review of the literature, interviews with experts, multi-criteria analysis through the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), and the application of CD localization methods. In addition, it seeks to verify whether changes in the experts assessment can change the final result. It is concluded that the ideal location for the installation of the Distribution Center for imported materials from the Brazilian Navy is the state of Rio de Janeiro, proving the decision taken empirically and the city of Santos is suggested as a viable alternative. This research also proposes to create a technological tool for the automatic analysis of logistical costs and CD location in Brazil.
