Resumo:
Popular music develops an important role in consumer s social life involving not only hedonic aspects but also behavioral ones. It also features as an important component of services marketing and advertising. This study investigates if musical taste development is related to cohort effects, age, period and nostalgia. Among others, the results point to the development of preference towards popular music in late adolescence and early adulthood. The results contribute to consumer behavior studies and help companies and managers develop more accurate and efficient market tools.
