This research is inserted in the universe of the disabled and all related subjects who are capable to influence positively or negatively the wheelchair´s usage. The standards adopted my manufacturers in Brazil are taken apart from the pathological evaluation of the different levels of injuries and the perception of individual or segmented needs of wheelchair users, disabling the correct (lapsing) for the lack of adjustment, cause a distortion between user and product. Standards, based on design and dimensions of foreign models, elapse from the considered cost and the time for the development of an authentic and patentable (feasible) wheelschair project and for the lack of representation in the national market. Domestic factorys can´t ignore anymore the technological contribution, necessary for definition of the project scope of available products in our research institutions, more adjusted to the financial, social and ergonomic conditions of our population.
