Resumo:
This thesis intends to investigate the construction of the narratives adrift in the screenplay of the Brazilian fictional cinematographic screenplay, observing from the artistic conception of the screenwriter, often influenced by the literary narrative until the artistic execution of the conditioned direction not infrequently by practices of the real, for documentary and / or performative procedures. In the last decade, the theme of drift permeates Brazilian cinematography by printing variations and specific characteristics to the fictional narrative and to the audiovisual creative process. From one narrative to the next, from one fable to the next, we have the reconfiguration of drift in the fictional universe that goes from wandering to immobility: characters begin in continuous displacement, but gradually they alternate ambulation and closure, physical perambulation, and existential closure. In order to reflect on the process of audiovisual writing and its direct interference in the construction of such narratives, the screenplay is placed as the central focus of the research. The thesis focused on works with different creative processes both in terms of writing composition and the filmmaking process. Five cinematographic screenplays are analyzed here: I Travel Because I Have to, I Come Back Because I Love You (2010), by Marcelo Gomes and Karim Ainouz; The Silver Cliff (2011), by Karim Aïnouz; Castanha (2014), by David Pretto; The Man of the Crowds (2014), by Cao Guimarães and Marcelo Gomes and Where I Grow Old (2016), by Marília Rocha.
