Resumo:
This thesis aims to investigate the relevance of the aesthetic dimension in the theory and practice of contemporary psychoanalysis. It takes as its starting point the sensitive and sensory experiences where body and affection bring about fundamental clinical contributions to the setting. Starting from Donald Winnicott s theory of Emotional Development and his concepts about Environment , Holding and Handling of the infant, and on Sandor Ferenczi s ideas of tact, empathy and sensitivity, we indicate the relevance of the aesthetic dimension in the contemporary psychoanalytic clinic that faces the challenge of new pathologies.
