Nietzsche and the experience of the philosopher-artist addresses the thought of the german philosopher in order to show that his work can be better understood if one considers what Nietzsche postulated as the experience (erfahrung) of the lived (Erlebnis). Through analysis of his style (aphorisms, poetry, dithyrambs, music and typology) and aspects relevant to his particular form of affirming the human experience, it is shown how Nietzsche built his thought through formulations arising from his own body. Thus, emotions, physicality, moods, drives and power are elements that give consistency to a thought that dared to distance itself from the western metaphysical tradition and fit in a new insignia: the postulation of the philosopher-artist.
