The purpose of this thesis is to present an evaluation of
the mobility of leachate in the soil of Sauípe s Sanitary
Landfill, located in the municipality of Entre Rios, in the
State of Bahia. The study is based on experimental
laboratory results and on literature data, which
have been used for predicting the contaminant transport and
the main mechanisms of its interaction with the soil.
To carry out the laboratory tests has been used an
equipment developed for this purpose, which allows the
determination of the transport parameters of the
contaminant in the soil.
