This thesis aims to analyze some forms of insertion of the practice of palliative care in humanized therapeutic approach, taking into account existing standards of behavior in health teams regarding the transition in treatment modalities. Discusses some evolutionary perspectives of the concept of care, taking into account the subjective constructs from the primordial relationship existing on the individual and their influence on the dynamics of the relationship of care. Describes the importance of the establishment of emotional bonds in the form of care, taking into account aspects of the traumatic and possible ways to focus on caring relationship – be careful. It highlights the contributions of ethics and bioethics as trainers of moral conscience and ethical feelings in the exercise of professional caregiver. Shows the diversity of contexts in which health care is set to perform his routine palliative care. To do so, presents a review of national and international literature on ways of inserting the practice of palliative care in humanized therapeutic approach. Thirty five articles published in the LILACS, SciELO and IBECS data for the period 1980-2013 were selected. Results: the study identified some patterns of behavior adopted by health professionals in the process of transition from palliative therapy for approach and analyzed forms of confrontation with respect to the diversity of meanings that death can get in this context. Conclusion: the complementarity between cure and care at diagnosis still requires preparation and training for professional caregivers.
