Resumo:
The sustainable use hedgehog chestnut Brazil in composite materials is the main issue of this thesis. The Brazil nut is a typical fruit of great economic and cultural representation to the Amazon region and during extraction for disposal in plenty of hard shell called hedgehog. This study adopted experimental methodology and is divided into two stages. The first phase is constituted by informative investigation of the concepts of reasoning on sustainability, design and materials science. The second describes the process of developing the eco-composite from resin-reused hedgehog plant. It appears from the preparation of experiments will perform the tests , such as abrasion , which results indicated the technical feasibility for application of the material in the ground, since it showed good resistance to chafing. The investigations contribute to the improvement and adaptation of technology artisanal manufacturing, aiming to make possible the transfer of this knowledge to future riverine communities and contribute to the enhancement of the product sociobiodiversity.
