This present study has the purpose is to analyze the guardian of the
Constitution in Brazil, beginning with theoretical basis analyzis, from the history
of brazilian constitutional control and even criticism of the established model in
the Constitution of 1988. Thus, the study intention was to investigate how the
Supreme Court became the guardian of the Brazilian Constitution, as well, by
jurisprudential analysis, what referred Court extracts of such relevant competence.
