|
A computer program for weight minimization of plane frames is developed.
The program is able to handle with several load cases.
The optimized structures, do satisfy the AISC –American Institute of Steel Construction, which is used to provide the constraint conditions for the optimization program.
The minimization process is carried out using on optimality criteria method for inequality constraints.
Numerical examples are presented and discussed at the end of the work.
