Resumo:
Due to the increasing interest in the use of solar energy for air contioning and drying of foods, the present work describes different cycles of solar air conditioning and presents a model for simulating the operating conditions and the performance of the equipaments used in an open air conditioning cycle. The model calculates the termodynamic cycle and specifies the heat and mass transfer characteristics of the equipments for systems of any cooling capacity. The results are exemplified for systems of 1 to 5 refrigerating tons of cooling capacity.
