Protective intent of healthy quality of life that form the basis for the Legal
Environmental Principles are, on this study, translated into mapping of the
environmental and urban legislation in Geographical Information System (GIG)
for the conception of spatial structures that promote genetic interchange between
full preservation units of Tinguá Biological Reserve and the Municipal Park of
Nova Iguaçu. Existent form-content analysis on mapped space that substantiates
the legal-political-finance techniques to be used for the implementation of the
Green Areas System in the central lowland area of Nova Iguaçu, as set forth in
articles 126 through 136 of the proposed new Municipal Urban Planning
Directive, which may dictate a new historical occupation process of both urban
and rural areas of Nova Iguaçu, recasting them to function as ecological corridors.
