This work presents a theoretical discussion about the three coordination mechanisms used on decomposition algorithms in mathematical programming: price-directive, resource-directive and mixed mechanisms. The coordenability conditions are developed around the decentralization of the decisions problem in linear programs.
The goal is to suggest the mixed mechanism as the best way to get the decentralization whem the subproblems are linear programs.
