Although the word saudade is known as unic within the
brazilian culture, still
need some studies that prove and verify this afirmitive.
With this in mind, I work
with the social expression of the word saudade in the
brazilian and portuguese poetry;
their differences and likeness. Saudade as category of
feeling regarding the side of the
heart, without explanation only by reason. Seeing, also,
as category of time,
understood as especific kind of time mark. I propose to
study saudade as a link,
between modern conception and tradicional conception of
time, as did Roberto
DaMatta in his work. Saudade as particular quality of the
countries which speak
portuguese language, and known as one of the positive
qualities that build the
brazilian identity of being.
