Resumo:
The idea of progress impacts the way in which we understand the future, but this idea is not immutable, having been understood in different ways throughout history. This work shall explore two different understandings of this idea hailing from post-World War II United States of America, extracted from science fiction (Isaac Asimov s The robots of dawn and Ursula K. Le Guin s The telling), reflecting the way the future was imagined in these two moments.
