Resumo: | |||||||||||||
The search for more efficient processes, in order to make operations more profitable, is constant and important in a market where profit margins are becoming smaller, especially in the fuel segment. Therefore, companies that market oil derivatives try to improve their activities through computational tools, from the most strategic ones to the operational ones that occur in the passing of the days. Looking for process improvement opportunities, this work aims to model and simulate a loading process in a fuel distribution base. Five scenarios were designed under the objective of evaluating procedures and available resources to perform tank truck loadings during a certain time interval. The model was developed in the Arena software and results were grounded through indicators that are used in operations with the purpose of improving the process of vehicle loading. Indicators were verified in each scenario, in order to validate the service capacity according to their particularities. To ratify the model, a scenario has been used and four other scenarios were based on the operation time variation and the quantity of available loading docks, focusing on the understanding of how the support for variations in the consumption demand would be. Through the evaluation of the results, a problem in the operation line was verified and some improvement suggestions were exposed in this work.
