Resumo: | |||||||||||||
This research proposes the development of a BIM (Building Information Modeling) maturity model that integrates aspects of Industry 4.0, sustainability, and multi-criteria approaches for the construction industry. Through a multi-method methodology, grounded in Design Science Research, the study combined scoping review, bibliometric analysis, multi-criteria modeling, and extensive qualitative data collection through interviews, questionnaires, and focus groups with industry experts. The investigation identified 15 critical indicators distributed across 6 fundamental dimensions: Processes, Technology, People, Organization/Strategy, Policy, and Sustainability. The analysis involved 8 construction projects in Brazil, using the ELECTRE TRI-nC method in conjunction with fuzzy logic to assess BIM maturity. The proposed model established 6 maturity levels, ranging from Non-existent to Optimized, enabling a robust classification of the analyzed projects. The results indicated that 87.5 per cent of the projects are at the Integrated level (C3), demonstrating a significant pattern of BIM development in the national context. The work significantly contributes to understanding and evaluating BIM maturity in construction projects, offering an integrated framework that considers digitalization and sustainability aspects, while proposing specific strategies for evolution between maturity levels.
