This thesis intends to present and apply a computation
methodology of economic and financial performance
indicators derived from the financial disclosures presented
by the petroleum exploration and production companies
concerning their reserves. A bibliography review on the
main topics about the subjects is done. Then, the
computation methodology of economic and financial
performance indicators is presented. Last, an information
system (Economic and Financial Reserves Evaluation System -
SAFER) is proposed for helping Petrobras to prepare the
accounting reports and to perform an economic and financial
evaluation of the E&P companies.
