The use of the Lean concept in production is already a well known practice, however its application in logistic is a newness that can bring innumerable advantages for logistic operators. As this concept is still new for Brazilian executives, the objective of this dissertation is to conduct an exploratory research on lean logistic and to apply this concept in an outsourcing logistic operation of a Brazilian cosmetic company. The methodology used for the elaboration of this dissertation included: literature review, primary sources data extracted from the operation of the analyzed company made by the logistic operator, non structured interviews with managers and employees involved in the operation, and visits in loco for direct observation. The results of this dissertation are the analysis of the logistic operation of the company under the perspective of the lean concept, the development of a project applying the logistic lean, and its partial implementation in the distribution center of the cosmetic company.
