[pt] Esperançar porque Ele enxugará todas as nossas lágrimas nasce de um desejo de se abordar um tema tão pertinente em nossos dias a partir de um texto bíblico. Numa época em que se percebe uma sociedade confusa, volátil e desnorteada, parece pertinente uma contribuição acadêmica que reflita a esperança trazida pela Sagrada Escritura. Diante de tal constatação, essa pesquisa analisa, metodologicamente, o texto bíblico de Ap 21,1-8. O objetivo é vincular a teologia escatológica presente na perícope a um tratado de esperança que se coloca nas entrelinhas do texto. Para realizar tal tarefa, utilizou-se métodos próprios da exegese bíblica. Através do Método Histórico-Crítico, investigando o texto a partir de sua língua de origem, revelam-se particularidades linguísticas da perícope, elementos fundamentais para uma análise textual concisa, assim como aproxima-se à época de produção da obra. Aplicando ao texto o Método de Intertextualidade, é possível identificar sua afinidade com outros textos bíblicos, como também com obras extrabíblicas. O último passo, à luz dos resultados obtidos, foi construir uma hermenêutica, que trouxe à superfície o tema da esperança amalgamado no texto e propor ações pastorais iluminadas pela mensgem de Ap 21,1-8. Percorrido esse caminho, conclui-se que, de fato, a esperança é o sentimento presente tanto no texto, quanto nos destinatários da mensagem. A tarefa é, pois, inspirar as comunidades hodiernas a viverem sob o mesmo sentimento indicado pelo autor do livro de Apocalipse.

[en] To have hope because He will wipe away all our tears arises from a desire to address a theme so relevant in our days from a biblical text. In an era when one perceives a confused, volatile, and disoriented society, an academic contribution reflecting the hope brought by Sacred Scripture seems pertinent. Given this observation, this research methodologically analyzes the biblical text of Rev 21:1 8. The aim is to link the eschatological theology present in the pericope to a treatise on hope that lies between the lines of the text. To accomplish this task, methods proper to biblical exegesis were employed. Through the Historical-Critical Method, investigating the text from its original language, linguistic particularities of the pericope are revealed — fundamental elements for a concise textual analysis — as well as an approach to the time of the work s composition. By applying the Intertextuality Method to the text, it is possible to identify its affinity with other biblical texts, as well as with extrabiblical works. The final step, in light of the results obtained, was to construct a hermeneutic that brought to the surface the theme of hope amalgamated within the text and to propose pastoral actions enlightened by the message of Rev 21:1-8. Having followed this path, it is concluded that, indeed, hope is the sentiment present both in the text and in the recipients of the message. The task, therefore, is to inspire today s communities to live under the same sentiment indicated by the author of the Book of Revelation.
