[pt] O presente artigo tem por objetivo discutir o tema da amizade política e sua relação com o modelo de cidadania adotado nas Leis. Pretende-se defender que, nas Leis, a amizade ou philía permeia a relação entre a cidade e o cidadão e entre os cidadãos. A cidade é caracterizada como mãe e nutriz dos cidadãos, educando-os, ou melhor, nutrindo-os através das leis. Por sua vez, os cidadãos são considerados como amigos ou irmãos, isto é, eles estão envolvidos em uma relação de afeição e cooperação recíprocas. Essa caracterização se evidencia pela noção de sedição como um conflito entre pessoas da mesma família ou da mesma origem (628a). Além disso, nas Leis, há diversas prescrições legais que tentam fomentar a cooperação entre os cidadãos, a fim de promover a amizade política. Diante desse quadro, pretende-se, por fim, argumentar que a cidadania, baseada na amizade, implica uma relação de empatia e cuidado mútuo entre a cidade e os cidadãos e dos cidadãos entre si.

[en] This article aims to discuss the topic of politicalfriendship and its relationship with the citizenship model adopted in the Laws. We intend to argue that, in the Laws, friendship or philia permeates the relationship between the city and the citizen and between the citizens. The city is characterizedas the mother and nurturer of the citizens, educating them, orrather, nourishing them through the laws. In turn, the citizens are considered as friends or brothers, that is, they are involved in a relationship of reciprocal affection and cooperation. This characterization is evidenced by the notion of sedition as a conflict between people of the same family or of the same origin. Furthermore, in the Laws, there are various legal prescriptions that seek to foster cooperation among citizens inorder to promote political friendship. Given this framework, we finally intend to argue that citizenship, based on friendship, implies a relationship of mutual care between the city and th ecitizens and between the citizens themselves.
