[pt] O objetivo desta tese é analisar os desdobramentos socioespaciais do crescimento urbano da cidade de Recife e de uma vila no interior de Pernambuco à luz das representações fílmicas O Som ao redor (2012), Aquarius (2016) e Bacurau (2019). Os três filmes escolhidos para atravessar a(s) leitura(s) de representação da injustiça espacial foram objeto de uma notável galeria de premiações nacionais e internacionais, como também resultaram em livros, teses acadêmicas e ensaios no campo das ciências humanas. Tais contribuições despertaram o desejo do autor de participar do debate. Nesta pesquisa, aproximam-se as relações entre a ciência geográfica e as imagens cinematográficas a partir da representação da injustiça espacial nas narrativas fílmicas citadas. Defende-se que as representações visuais sejam essencialmente mais uma interpretação do que uma gravação, ou uma cópia, do objeto presente na realidade concreta. Propõe-se o questionamento da maneira como as mesmas, em vários instantes, moldam e reelaboram interpretações diversas do mesmo objeto. Trata-se de um estudo comprometido com a realização de uma análise fílmica que ultrapasse a fronteira do entretenimento e convide a um olhar crítico sobre o mundo em que vivemos. Desse modo, espera-se tanto evidenciar a (re)produção de injustiças espaciais na construção de espacialidades como também, por meio de tais representações, colaborar para pensarmos horizontes utópicos de emancipação.

[en] The objective of this thesis is to analyze the socio-spatial developments of urban growth in the city of Recife and a village in the interior of Pernambuco in light of the film representations Som ao redor (2012), Aquarius (2016), and Bacurau (2019). The three films chosen to traverse the reading(s) of the representation of spatial injustice have been the subject of a remarkable gallery of national and international awards, as well as resulting in books, academic theses, and essays in the field of human sciences. Such contributions sparked the author s desire to participate in the debate. In this research, the relationships between geographical science and cinematic images are approached thru the representation of spatial injustice in the cited film narratives. It is argued that visual representations are essentially more an interpretation than a recording, or a copy, of the object present in concrete reality. It is proposed to question how they, at various moments, shape and rework diverse interpretations of the same object. It is a study committed to conducting a film analysis that transcends the boundary of entertainment and invites a critical look at the world we live in. In this way, it is expected to both highlight the (re)production of spatial injustices in the construction of spatialities and, thru such representations, contribute to thinking about utopian horizons of emancipation.
